Aluminum House Sweden
Around the lake Gärdsken, in the southern parts of Alingsås, a residential area with villas mainly from the 20th century is situated. Originally, these were small wooden two storey houses with a basement in stone and vernacular detailing.

Ankerspelet Malmo
Ankerspelet is a public housing project built for MKB, and the 70 apartments are situated on the harbour front of Malmo. The precise but varied building complex is shaped like a geometrical cliff with ravines, passages and crevices and defines the western border of the new urbanisation of Vastra Hamnen.

Design contest winner: Heike Hanada

Swedish architecture competition
Stockholm City Council has abandoned this project following funding problems and due to pressure from various groups opposed to building so close to Asplund’s celebrated design. No clear reason has emerged, and sadly once again much architects’ time has been wasted on yet another failed international architectural contest.
