3 Way House – Contemporary Tokyo Residence
A house which has three means of vertical transportation; climbing wall, ladders and stairs. The house is located in a residential area where old and new buildings stand intermingled and buildings are rebuilt to be taller than 7 meters high.
A House Made of Two – Kanagawa Residence
This is a project of one family living in two houses built slightly apart from one another. One great volume of a house which covers the entire plot was supposed first. Then this volume was carved in a curve in three segments and two volumes at the both ends were built as two houses on the site.
Switch Box in House – Tokyo Renovation
This is a total interior renovation project of an existing house, installing a box made of deck lumber in the middle of the house. The existing house is 17 year-old, two-story, 4-bedroom wooden structure on top of semi-underground garage.
ZYX House – Contemporary Tokyo Residence
It is a house in central Tokyo which is composed of three kinds of space stacked up like toy blocks. Third floor is a private space for a single woman; second floor, a space for her family; first floor, a guest space for her relatives.
Sony City Osaki – Tokyo Office Building
This project was inspired by the paradoxical idea of improving the environment through the presence of large-scale architecture. The Project is an office building for Sony’s R&D department, which takes the form of a thin vertical plate to ensure good views.

M&M Rosie Setagaya House, Tokyo
When the client found this land, we were asked to give an advice. It was a strip of pentagonal land facing west with only a pair of parallel boundary lines. Because of this land condition, it was valued lower, almost 30% larger than regular priced lands for the same cost.
Small House Meguro-ku – Japanese Residence
The small house which the married couple and their child live stands at the densely populated area in Tokyo. Though the neighboring houses is very close, I aimed to design the house which exceed the physical narrowness living at the city.
