October 2015 – “Corian® Charging Surface” has arrived. Within its “Endless Evolution” international growth initiative DuPont has developed and is now commercialising a new, practical, reliable and easy to install solution – “Corian® Charging Surface – combining the superior beauty and functionality of Corian® with wireless recharging capabilities for smartphones and tablets. The wireless recharging capabilities are enabled by a state-of-the-art unit based on induction technology.

The technical properties of DuPont™ Corian® allow the charge to be delivered through the material directly. Thanks to this feature, it is possible to create elegant solutions offering integrated recharging capabilities with a sleek monolithic look and without making penetrations into the surface in order to install the technology.

The solution is available to home owners through the members of the Corian® Quality Network (“Home Design Partners” to place orders; “Industrial Partners” for fabrication and installation).
