Mandarim Apartment in Tucuruvi, SP
Mandarim Apartment is the first home of a young couple from São Paulo, had as a premise to have cozy and comfortable spaces to enjoy moments for two and gather family and friends. With this in mind, Studio Canto project underwent changes in the plan, seeking to make better use of the 140 sqm duplex environments and explore its full potential.
One of the changes proposed by Studio Canto was to demolish the rigid and heavy staircase, which gave access to the terrace, and to build a new one with a lighter and more delicate air.
The terrace area, a key point of the project, was delivered only with the floor installed. In this environment, we sought to create a relaxed and cozy environment. For this purpose, a gourmet space with barbecue, pizza oven and support bench in white granite itaúnas was designed. In addition, a new toilet was created, as well as the Jacuzzi space with a deck that becomes a bench in cumaru wood.
The vibrant colors applied to the apartment’s small details came from a resident’s desire, so the architects guided the project, abusing colors and geometry, always in the right dose, so that comfort and warmth stand out from this movement of colors and shapes.
